This little work of art has layers of beautiful pinky glass petals layered one on top of the other to build up to a delicate flower captured in clear glass. Framed by large sterling silver rounds and suspended from a long sterling silver chain, the bead on this gorgeous glass necklace is just over 2 cm wide and designed to be worn long, but can be adjusted on request for the perfect fit.

Contemporary lampwork glass jewellery by glass artist and designer Carolyn Grant.
Handmade in my home studio in Cheshire, England, I create sterling silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets using my own handcrafted lampwork glass beads. Formed in a hot flame using a propane and oxygen powered torch, each lampwork bead is individually handmade and unique. My lampwork glass forms the focal part of my jewellery designs, each one a tiny little work of art. There is something hypnotic about working with hot glass, manipulating it in the flame and using a combination of heat and gravity to control the flow and create something beautiful. I learn something new every time I fire up my torch, and hope that my fascination with glass translates into my jewellery.
