Beautiful sterling silver bangles with freshwater pearl, handmade lampwork glass and shell charms
Two slim handmade sterling silver bangles, lightly hammered for texture and sparkle. These pretty bracelets are held together by 3 handmade charms - a little button freshwater pearl, a silver shell, and one of my handcrafted artisan lampwork glass beads. Part of my Coast collection of handmade jewellery, these are perfect beachy summer bangles! Wear them alone or stacked with your favourite stacking bangles.
The bead is in sandy shades and etched to give a beautiful soft, matt, pebble-like finish.
Available in 2 sizes:
Small - 2 1/2 inches (65 mm) Medium - 2 3/4 inches (70 mm)
The bangles are approximately 1 mm thick. The bead measures approximately 10 mm at its widest point.
Contemporary lampwork glass jewellery by glass artist and designer Carolyn Grant.
Handmade in my home studio in Cheshire, England, I create sterling silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets using my own handcrafted lampwork glass beads. Formed in a hot flame using a propane and oxygen powered torch, each lampwork bead is individually handmade and unique. My lampwork glass forms the focal part of my jewellery designs, each one a tiny little work of art. There is something hypnotic about working with hot glass, manipulating it in the flame and using a combination of heat and gravity to control the flow and create something beautiful. I learn something new every time I fire up my torch, and hope that my fascination with glass translates into my jewellery.
