Clear etched glass drops decorated with bands of pure silver
Handmade white and silver glass earrings. Clear glass beads decorated with strands and droplets of pure silver and etched to a frosted, opaque finish. Framed with sterling silver beads and hung from sterling silver earwires.
Bead approximately 10 mm (3/8ths of an inch) wide. Drop length from earwire approximately 18 mm (11/16ths of an inch). Total earring length approximately 29 mm (1 1/8th inch).

Handmade in my home studio in Cheshire, England, I create sterling silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets using my own handcrafted lampwork glass beads. Formed in a hot flame using a propane and oxygen powered torch, each lampwork bead is individually handmade and unique. My lampwork glass forms the focal part of my jewellery designs, each one a tiny little work of art. There is something hypnotic about working with hot glass, manipulating it in the flame and using a combination of heat and gravity to control the flow and create something beautiful. I learn something new every time I fire up my torch, and hope that my fascination with glass translates into my jewellery.
