Peacock Beaded Petal Collection Bracelet
A vibrant blue, teal and silver beaded glass bracelet finished with a magnetic clasp
A beautiful collection of 17 individually handmade glass beads, separated by sterling silver rounds and finished with a strong sterling silver magnetic clasp and safety chain.
Each bead on this stunning bracelet was made by individually applying double layers of tiny dots of contrasting colour in rows around the bead. The dots are carefully melted flat in the flame and partially coated in clear glass, before they are pulled into a petal shape using just heat and gravity. Additional layers are added to build up to a perfect bloom pattern. The lovely depth of colour is achieved through silver rich glass which is heated and cooled in the flame. The beads gradually increase in size from the smallest nearest the clasp, up to a larger, triple layered bead in the centre.
The bracelet is easy to slide on and off the wrist by snapping open the magnetic clasp, and extra security is added with a bolt clasp and safety chain.
Approximate bracelet size 5 cm (inner radius) Approximate bracelet length 19 cm including clasp Lampwork glass beads measure from 7 mm by 10 mm to the largest at 11 mm by 14 mm

Contemporary lampwork glass jewellery by glass artist and designer Carolyn Grant.
Handmade in my home studio in Cheshire, England, I create sterling silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets using my own handcrafted lampwork glass beads. Formed in a hot flame using a propane and oxygen powered torch, each lampwork bead is individually handmade and unique. My lampwork glass forms the focal part of my jewellery designs, each one a tiny little work of art. There is something hypnotic about working with hot glass, manipulating it in the flame and using a combination of heat and gravity to control the flow and create something beautiful. I learn something new every time I fire up my torch, and hope that my fascination with glass translates into my jewellery.
